Rapid prototyping. What is it and how can you use it?

When solving complex problems in novel ways a crucial factor is the ability to foresee unknown circumstances important for the problem and the realization of the final solution. These unknowns can be related to hidden needs of end-users as well as unexpected mechanical properties, technical details or even political decisions. Rapid prototyping is a powerful tool supporting the active targeting of unknowns in a product or service development process.

In a highly involving way participants of the workshop will be guided through several rounds of rapid prototyping sessions where building and testing are in focus. Between every round small introductions of theory behind prototypes will be introduced as well as illustrative examples of prototypes and organizational influencers of prototype sessions.

Dress code: Clothes that allow you to build.

What this workshop is not:

An introduction to technologies of rapid prototyping (3D printers, laser cutters, arduino etc.)

What this workshop IS:

A workshop applying the newest theories and mind-set of rapid prototyping in early stage product or service development.
