Innovation Breakfast - Health Technology

Hybrid operating room for cardiovascular surgery at Agostino Gemelli University Polyclinic in Rome

The health sector faces huge challenges in the coming decades. An ageing population combined with a decreasing tax base, demands technical solutions for a more effficient health care at a lower cost.

Disciplines like Biology, Medicine, Software and Hardware morphs together as the field takes giant steps forward. Today we see technological advances that were considered science fiction only a few years ago.

Trondheim has an opportunity to take a position in this field with strong players as NTNU, St. Olavs and SINTEF at the front row. At this informal breakfast meeting we will meet a startup, an established company and a research project. All in the field of medical technology. Perhaps we find new possibilities for links and closer cooperation?

Speakers:

Nicolas Elvemo

General Manager, GlucoSet

Jan Gunnar SkogÄs

Managing Director, Operating Room of the Future, St. Olavs Hospital

Eva Nilssen

Global Engineering Program Manager, GE Vingmed Ultrasound
